Wadi Degla succeeded in taking a closer step to the 1st division
First half
The match began with pressure from the hosts, who were trying to score the first goal early in the game. Their players had many chances through many dangerous free kicks on Wadi Degla’s goalkeeper, Haitham Mohamed, who was great, this half and throughout the whole match. One of these chances had them very close to scoring the first goal, but it hit the bar. Our players started to fight back and attack 20 minutes into the first half. Ashor El Tekky was outstanding, trying to score several times, and trying to make goals for Ahmed Atta and Wisdom. The first goal was for the guests, scored by Wisdom, with a brilliant header by Ahmed Atta, scoring the first goal for Wadi Degla. After this goal, Al Qanah increased their pressure trying to draw before the end of the half, but they didn’t get what they wanted. Instead they got a red card, a big surprise for the team, making it hard to make the draw.
Second half
Al Qanah started strongly and wanted to draw and score more than one goal to win the match. Al Qanah scored their first goal 3 minutes into this half, with a penalty shot. Wadi Degla controlled the rest of this half and had many chances to score. One of these chances was from Ahmed Atta. The score stayed the same up until the 80th minute. Ashor Al Tekky, as we can call him the savior, scored the second goal for Wadi Degla. The team won a difficult 3 points in one of the hardest matches this season.
With this result and according to the other results, Wadi Degla is still on top with the same four teams in the same positions.
