Gymnastics

Wadi Degla Sporting Clubs offer 3 different types of gymnastics for interested members:

GENERAL GYMNASTICS

It is the perfect activity to prepare children for long-term participation in sport. Helping children develop balance, co-ordination and confident body movement while building self-esteem, strength and flexibility.

BOYS & GIRLS ARTISTIC GYMNASTICS

Coached by Mrs. Natalya (Russian).
 
Girls train to compete on four apparatus (vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise).

Boys train to compete on six apparatus (floor exercise, pommel horse, still rings, vault, parallel bars, and horizontal bar, usually called high-bar)

RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS (GIRLS ONLY)
 
Coached by Mrs. Elena Lazareva (Ex European Champion).
 
Gymnasts perform jumps, tosses, leaps and other moves with different types of apparatus (rope, hoop, ball, clubs, and ribbon).

Training takes place 3 – 5 days per week depending on the level of training with training sessions about 1 – 2 hours long and is only available at the New Cairo Branch of Wadi Degla Sporting Clubs.
